The Philippine Combat Headquarters (PCH) was a military command structure established during World War II to coordinate American and Filipino forces against Japanese occupation of the Philippines. The PCH, operational from 1942 to 1945, was instrumental in planning and executing counteroffensives such as the Battle of Bataan and the Battle of Corregidor. It functioned under the command of Major General Jonathan M. Wainwright, who led the defense of the Philippines until its surrender in May 1942. The PCH later played a crucial role in the liberation of the Philippines through various guerrilla and conventional operations, culminating with the victory in September 1945.
